Meet the Board of Directors

Each member has a dedication to the arts as well as what they can bring to the community. We know every individual has a story and something to provide. Experience and knowledge are abundant when creating a space for the community, and we hope to provide that exact space.

Our Team

David Weatherbie

David Weatherbie, from a young age, was interested in all aspects of art. At the age of 8 years old David undertook the curiosities which would lead to blacksmithing, music creation, painting, videography and other artistic endeavors. Ranging from physical media to the rapidly developing art forms of digital media, he has had a hand in various forms of expression. After graduating Rio Rico High School he pursued work in the performing arts, working as a stuntman for over a decade at Old Tucson Studios. Currently he continues his work at Old Tucson as lead production technician, furthering his experience for the performing arts. Previous experience relating to non-profits includes his work as a gallery administrator as well as, at the time, being an active board member for the Hilltop Art Gallery in Nogales Arizona, the city he was born in. He hopes to bring about a new space for the countless creatives in his community, broadening their ability for further experience, education, and opportunities for art through Owl Eye Theater.

Jadon Lengi

Jadon has been working behind the scenes in educational, community, and professional theater productions since 2016 in Northern Utah. His credits range from lighting and set design to stage and production management. He moved to Tucson, AZ from Layton, UT in 2024 after getting married, and looked into finding a theater space to work with. None of the venues in Tucson quite had the community feel and aspect to them he was looking for. After meeting some local like-minded performers, technicians, and designers they decided to create a space for the community of Southern Arizona to perform, create, consume, and engage with the art that exists in Tucson and the surrounding areas

Born and raised in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, Amanda began teaching community classes in 2021, specializing in the development of physical and cognitive movement programs for older adults. Amanda has worked with local nonprofits to make movement and wellness more accessible throughout our community. What began as a search for relief from a shoulder injury became a lifelong yoga practice. Along the way, yoga grew into a guide for navigating the ever so beautiful affliction of the human experience. Amanda is dedicated to fostering accessibility, diversity and inclusivity within our community where a safe space for the mind and body to connect through the breath, creative expression, movement and art is cultivated. As a lifelong student, curiosity remains one of Amanda's greatest teachers. Amanda continually explores new ways to learn, grow, celebrate movement and share those discoveries with others. It is a privilege to offer the practice and work that has given so much, with the hope that each person leaves feeling a little more grounded, connected, and at home within themselves. Deep gratitude for students and fellow teachers continues to shape and inspire this journey. You are a gift.

Amanda Elias

Caitlin Singer

Education Manager/Founder

Caitlin grew up in the hot, dry desert of Tucson, Arizona where she attended the University of Arizona. She trained with The Groundlings, and Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in Los Angeles and worked in film and television; most notably doing stunts on CSI: NY, producing and acting for the production company 3 1/2 Films and doing voiceover work. Caitlin works in education and runs a stunt workshop with fellow Owl Eye founder David Weatherbie. She was lucky to find like minded individuals who all wanted to contribute to the creative community. Caitlin strives to provide a space where everyone has access to learn, grow, create and perform.

Dave Cavallaro

Board Member/Founder

A lifelong performer, Dave has had the good fortune to sing, act, and perform magic from New England, to Florida, the Pacific Northwest, and here after finding a home in the desert 5 years ago. He has fallen in love with the vibrant live performance scene here in Tucson. He jumped at the chance to foster a deeper connection to the Tucson community when Owl Eye Theatre Company was forming, and hopes to help other artists find their voice here.

Kenna Lengi

Born in Nebraska and taking on a slew of adventures across the world, Kenna soon discovered their love for the performing arts in a small homeschool Co-Op. Taking on whatever role they could in these productions as well as productions in a couple community theaters, their love for theatre grew more and more. After finding their way into college and exploring opportunities from Athletic Therapy to Zoology, they eventually set their eyes once again on the theatre with education in mind. Through the opportunities and classes they attended at Weber State University in Utah, they have learned about the various aspects that go into the art of theatre. After moving to Tucson, AZ in 2024, they want to reignite that love for the performing arts along with the help of others who share the same ideas. They want to be able to share the knowledge and experiences that they have gained with others, hopefully sparking the love of theatre within them.

David Quiñones

Board Member/Founder

David Quiñones is a Tucson native who has been performing since 2017. In that time, he has performed through the mediums of acting, dancing, martial arts, stunt shows, and musical theater. Additionally, he has over 1 and a half decades experience teaching and coaching people of all ages across different disciplines, including dance and theatre. He relishes the chance to be a founding board member of Owl Eye Theater and hopes this company can flourish into a space where all walks of life can create, absorb, and witness performance art
